A platform for people to connect
With this goal in mind, there was a need to create an easy-to-use social ecosystem to allow anyone to create a listing of their service, upload media, and set a location.

With a focus on New York communities, Seya's application provides a way for users to meet up in a nearby coffee shop while recreating the spirit and aesthetics of the city.

New York in its best representation
Seya's interface gained inspiration from the NYCTA Graphics Standards Manual, which describes the design and construction of New York's iconic subway signs.
The interface is colorful and bold incorporating different colors: orange, blue, yellow, and green. Everything is balanced out with dark grey tones.
Inspired by New York's subway signs, the iconography is also about strong, clear shapes that play around with color very well.
Getting the strategy together
At the beginning of the project, we organized a whole week of workshops with the Seya team here in our office in Portugal. This allowed us to build a closer relationship with Seya while defining the product strategy better.
Their level of expertise and trustworthiness were the most impressive.

A full-service challenge
The challenge was to design and develop a mobile application with a huge coffee shop database and predefined locations in New York where people could meet and share knowledge.
The app covered many features including videos, geolocation, a calendar, using animations to enrich the experience. It also included a lot of integration work and tailoring the backend to Seya's needs.
Coletiv Studio met expectations, delivering a product that fit all of the requirements. Their personable approach made the engagement seamless. Customers can expect a skilled team that meets deadlines.
